Open Frame Touch Display

An open frame touch display is the same kind of product as an open frame touch monitor: a display panel with a touch layer, supplied without a finished enclosure for building into another product. This page exists as a category variant page, because buyers search for both wordings. Its content follows the same evidence rules as the open frame touch monitor page, and it does not introduce a separate product line.

Why two wordings exist

Buyers use the words monitor and display interchangeably for a built-in screen, and a category site should answer both wordings rather than forcing every buyer onto one term. The two pages therefore describe the same form factor from slightly different angles: the monitor page stresses the complete unit with its interfaces, while this display page stresses the panel itself and how it sits inside a finished product. Neither page adds a model or a specification that the other page lacks, and both link to the same six listed models.

Mounting form decides how a monitor fits into a finished product, and it should be settled before size or touch type is finalised. An open frame monitor is supplied as a panel for building into a cabinet or a kiosk, so the buyer takes responsibility for the surrounding enclosure and for ventilation. An embedded monitor is designed to sit inside an existing opening, while a panel mount monitor is fixed through a cut-out with its front face visible. Each form changes the measurements that matter: overall size, visible area, fixing positions and depth behind the panel. The enquiry should therefore state the mounting form and the available opening, rather than giving only a screen size.

Choosing a panel for a finished product

Touch choice is one of the first decisions in an industrial monitor enquiry, and it should be made from the way the screen will actually be used. A resistive touch layer responds to pressure, so it can be operated with a gloved hand or a stylus, while a capacitive touch layer responds to the touch of a finger and suits a familiar swipe-and-tap style of use. Neither type is better in every setting: the right choice depends on gloves, on whether a stylus will be used, on cleaning routines and on how the screen will be mounted. The model pages on this site state the touch type listed for each model, and where a model lists touch as optional, the enquiry should state which touch type is wanted so the correct version is quoted.

Screen size is only the diagonal measurement of the display, and it does not by itself describe a monitor. Two monitors of the same size can differ in resolution, in aspect ratio, in brightness, in touch type and in overall dimensions, because the housing and the mounting form add their own measurements. A buyer comparing sizes should therefore read the full specification for each model, including the overall dimensions and the interface list, rather than ranking models by size alone. The product pages on this site keep each model's figures separate for exactly this reason.

A display panel for a finished product should be chosen by opening size first, then by resolution, then by touch type. Resolution decides how sharp text and images look at the viewing distance, and the listed models offer 1024 by 600 at 7 inch, 1024 by 768 at 8 inch, 1280 by 800 and 1920 by 1200 at 10.1 inch, and 1920 by 1080 at 11.6 inch and 15.6 inch. Those figures are stated per model and should not be averaged into a category figure.

What to confirm before ordering

A useful enquiry names the screen size, the touch type, the interface list, the mounting form and the quantity, and describes the application in one or two sentences. Those five details let the manufacturer check a listed model against the request without a round of clarification questions. A buyer who is unsure about one detail should say so rather than guessing, because a guessed detail can lead to a quotation for the wrong version. Where a value is not listed for a model, the enquiry is the place to ask for it, and the answer should be treated as model-specific rather than as a promise for the whole range.

Quotations are confirmed per order. Minimum order quantity and lead time are unavailable on this site, so they are not stated as company policy and must be confirmed per model in the enquiry. This site does not list fixed selling figures, because a figure depends on the model, the quantity and the order terms. A quotation should list the model, the quantity and the specification confirmed for that model, so the buyer and the manufacturer are working from the same description.

As with every open frame product, the enquiry should include the opening dimensions, the fixing method, the interface list, the touch type and the quantity. A sample check in the real enclosure is recommended before a larger order, because a panel that fits on paper can still fail against a real bezel or a real cable route.

Enquiry checklist

Before sending an enquiry, note the screen size, touch type, interface list, quantity and application, and whether the monitor will be open frame, embedded or panel mounted. Minimum order quantity and lead time are unavailable on this site and are confirmed per model in the enquiry. Quotations are confirmed per order.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a quotation?

Send an enquiry with the size, touch type, interface list and quantity you need, plus the application. Quotations are confirmed per order, and specifications are confirmed per model before payment. This site does not list fixed selling figures.

What certification documents can you provide?

CCC, CE, FCC and RoHS are stated by the company. Certificates are available upon request. If a buyer needs a certificate for a specific model, ask for it in the enquiry and name the model, so the correct document can be checked.

Are the specifications on this page valid for every model?

No. Specifications are shown per model and must not be read across the whole range. Where a value is not listed for a model, the page says to confirm per model rather than filling in a generic figure.
